Land's End is located just 4 km from the main town of Nainital and is elevated at a height of 2120 mts above mean sea level. It is an easy climb by road or hiking and for a few who cannot walk you can drive till Bara-Patthar and then walk just a km to this place or just hire a pony to take you up here and back. You can also trek to this place from Tiffin Top as they run parallel to each other.
As the name denotes, Land's end is where the town comes to a dead end or from where the town marks a point beyond which there is no route or way to enter or exit; however, this place became famous and popular after people started visiting it to feed their curiosity and find out the reason why the place was named Land's End. After seeing this place it became evident and soon tourists started flocking here as it also offers a panoramic view of the green valley dotted with small villages around the neighbouring hills and you also get a good view of the beautiful 'Khurpatal' or 'Khurpa Lake', which holds clear but stagnant water. You can also see the fields ploughed over terraced hills and plantation that add a feel of countryside to its surroundings.
