Almora Trekking Tour

Since the actual trekking expedition commences seriously from this point onwards to other regions of Kumaon, it is very important to let you know about the requirements and difficulty levels. Contrary to the normal belief, trekking and mountaineering does not require techniques and superhuman powers and skills. What you need is a desire to explore and the love for nature though some levels may require certain technical skills but those paths are allowed only for professionals. Trekking routes extending above 5,250 mts would require greater physical strength including sustainability above the tree line; hence, prior trekking experience is essential with excellent physical health and basic mountaineering skills. Any altitude up to 5,250 mts and below and about six hours of hiking per day would require some trekking experience though it is not essential but facilitation by an experienced trekker is recommended. It is also mandatory to know that mountaineering would require more skills, training and is planned in advance in contrast to trekking so they are not the same.

After your trek and sightseeing in Binsar, follow the same trail covering a distance of 34 km back to Almora perched at an altitude of 1,651 mts that welcomes you with excellent trekking options along winding landscapes skirted with the majestic Himalayan ranges accompanied with thickly covered forests, quaint cottages, scenic valleys and crystal clear lakes that perfectly defines this district as the 'Switzerland of India'. Though the trekking is limited only to summers, this region offers trekking all year round except during monsoon season after availability of improved equipments and trekking paths that were formed to inaccessible terrains.
