Aerial Ropeway is one of the main attractions of Nainital that runs from Mallital right through to Snow view point elevated at 2270 mts above sea level from where you get a wider view of the spectacular Himalayas including the entire town below.
There are two trolleys that take passengers to and fro taking approximately 151.7 seconds each way and can hold a capacity of up to 10+1 people or 825 kg of total weight. This cable car is opened to rides seven days a week from 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs and tickets for an adult is Rs. 100/- both ways and for a child Rs. 60/- both ways and charges are for a one hour stay at this point. If you want to spend a longer time here then it is best to trek up the road.
As you travel through, you also get an aerial view of Nainital and the Lake that looks like a small emerald eye amidst the great mountains and lush green surroundings. It gives you feeling that you are floating in air, so enjoy the ride while you can.
